Licensing and renewal flows
Model permit, licence, renewal, payment, record, and confirmation workflows with the right validation and audit trail.
The My Dog Matters program was a past municipal platform that brought dog licence renewal, mobile self-service, digital rewards, local business participation, GIS park information, and program reporting into one citizen-facing experience. The program grew to more than 30,000 app users before it ended. The same CityLogic platform thinking later extended into a developed bylaw operations prototype for officer case work, photo capture, fines, signatures, and reporting. These products are no longer active, but the operating model still applies to modern municipal and membership programs.
Historical case study
Public coverage at the time described a free mobile app with thousands of downloads, dog-friendly park information, map directions, phone-based licence renewal, and discounts from participating businesses. The program ultimately reached more than 30,000 app users before it ended.
Let residents renew licences, manage records, and use self-service tools from their phone.
Connect a public program to participating businesses, offers, and resident engagement.
Surface location-aware park information, rules, access notes, and direction handoff.
Support administration, reporting, content updates, renewals, payments, and program visibility.
Extend the same municipal data foundation into assigned cases, officer workflows, field evidence, fines, signatures, and case history.
Model permit, licence, renewal, payment, record, and confirmation workflows with the right validation and audit trail.
Issue digital cards, show eligibility, connect offers, and make benefit programs easier for residents or members to use.
Publish location-aware directories, participating businesses, facilities, rules, contact details, and operational notices.
Use maps, boundaries, facilities, routes, and local rules to turn static program information into guided user support.
Give staff tools for program content, renewals, payments, reports, participation, user support, and exception handling.
Track adoption, renewals, usage, engagement, and operational issues while keeping data access controlled.
Support assigned cases, citizen information, case descriptions, photos, fines, warnings, signatures, history, and officer follow-up.
Animal licensing, recreation programs, parking, permits, local directories, renewals, resident cards, and community benefits.
Digital cards, partner offers, renewals, eligibility, payments, self-service profiles, and communications.
Replace paper forms and disconnected spreadsheets with mobile workflows, controlled data, and reporting.
Why it still matters
Licensing, rewards, maps, payments, bylaw cases, and resident support look simple from the outside. Behind the scenes, they need clean records, staff tools, business rules, secure payments, field evidence, reporting, and content governance.
The bylaw product was developed as an extension of the municipal platform, but did not go to market. It is useful as a capability example: one back-end data model supporting citizen services, field work, administrative review, and reporting.
Officers could open assigned cases or search by case number, ticket number, or citizen information.
Photo descriptions, device camera capture, cloud upload, and case record updates were part of the workflow design.
Fine, warning, signature, authorization, infraction history, case details, and reporting patterns were designed around real municipal operations.
Socilogica can design the mobile experience, renewal workflow, payment path, admin tools, GIS layer, field evidence flow, reporting model, and long-term support plan.
